Charlotte Outdoor Kitchen & Outdoor Living Area Contractor Sizzles!
Charlotte homeowners love their outdoor homescape living spaces and areas. Because we live in a climate zone where we can enjoy the outdoor living lifestyle for at least eight months out of the year, outdoor kitchens are a natural extension of our home's entire footprint.
Outdoor kitchens can change the way you live in your home. And that can look like thousands of different combinations, depending entirely upon your home's style, your personal taste, and your budget. But if you can imagine it, we can design and build it!
Outdoor kitchens can serve as the "hub" or "heart" of your family just as your indoor kitchen does. Some people refer to their outdoor kitchen as their summer kitchen. Whatever you want to call it, we have experience in designing and building the total outdoor kitchen system…everything from the patio, covered or screened, stone fireplaces and fire pits, outdoor plumbing, pergolas and gazebos, and outdoor extensions of your indoor living spaces.
Outdoor Kitchen Design & Flow
We work with our Charlotte outdoor kitchen customers just like our home remodeling and new room addition customers. You and us imagine how you will use your new outdoor kitchen. What would be the process of preparing your meal, grilling it, serving it, and cleaning up? Where would you ideally want the prep area? What about the cleaning and sink area? Where is your dining table? Do you want the grill angled toward an element in the back yard?
Outdoor Kitchen Caution Zones
We anticipate everything when we design and build your outdoor kitchen. There are certain items that we have experience anticipating before any ground is broken and anything is ordered!
- Will we need natural gas? Where is the gas line?
- Water. Where will the water be needed?
- Drains and plumbing. Where?
- Electricity. What will be needed?
- HOA approval. What is the HOA process? We take care of this for you.
- Outdoor insect control. Is it a problem in your area?
- Inclement weather. Do you want your kitchen fully or partially covered or enclosed?

Charlotte Screened Porches are Custom Designed and Custom Built!
Charlotte screened porches are as much a part of “Americana” as they are contemporary living. The very words conjure fond memories of cool spring evenings, hot summer nights, and families enjoying homemade ice cream on the screened-in porch!
The Charlotte Remodeling Company builds custom screened porches of all sizes, styles and budgets! Screened porches can be simplistic or can be an extension of complete indoor living with energy-efficient glass windows, doors and central air and heat. Budgets can range from $3,500 to your wildest imagination! We’ll work with your budget to build you a beautiful screened-in porch!
We have designed and constructed so many different types, sizes and budgets of screened porches over the years. We have developed a list of items we consider when talking with you about your screened porch.
How do you want to “use” your new screened porch? Is it for actual living expansion, morning newspaper reading, cookouts, insect escape (!), or just simple shelter from the weather?
How will building your new screened porch affect the natural light to the adjacent rooms? Will it completely block sunlight? Will you need a skylight installed to let light in?
How about a fireplace or wood stove?
How many doors will you want?
Glass windows or just screen? What type of material do you want as your ceiling? How high? How many ceiling fans? Is central heat and air extending to the screened porch? How many electrical outlets?
Internet or computer outlets? Cable or satellite TV outlets? What about built-in speakers? Any plumbing or outdoor kitchen sinks? Is the screened porch going to be built on an existing patio or a new foundation?
The sky is the limit with outdoor screened porches in Charlotte! We will meet with you and help you determine all of the various needs you will need and want in your screened porch. Plus we will help you determine a budget that works well for you.
If you would like more information on how you can have a custom screened porch built at your home, please call Charles Brown at 704-605-9695 or email cbrown@charlotteremodelingcompany.com. We look forward to working with you on your new screened-in porch!

Charlotte Front Porch Remodel Brings Charm & Functionality!
The Charlotte Remodeling Company enjoys designing and remodeling small projects like this particular front porch for a Charlotte homeowner. These types of projects are affordable and can be designed and completed quickly.
The homeowner in the photos was missing the functionality and design of a front porch for quite a few years. It was just a project that kept being moved back to make room for larger ones! But they missed having the security of the front porch for inclement weather and to have more of a welcoming “feeling” when their guests came to visit.
When we began the design of this particular front porch project, the homeowner wanted something that was small, creative and functional that would not “clash” with the home’s architectural style or neighboring home designs.
So we suggested and designed a really pretty minimal wooden front porch structure with a very creative copper roof top. The end result looks like the front porch as always been attached to the front of the house! This is one of those projects that we have literally done hundreds of. And we really enjoy the process of these smaller projects.
As you can see, the finished front porch project looks like it has been attached to the front of the house for years! The simple wood columns and facade of the structure leads to the elegance and “wow” factor of the beautiful copper roof! The homeowners are really enjoying their new front porch and they tell us that it looked fantastic at Christmas with their holiday decorations!
If you would like to have a new front, side or back porch designed and constructed at your home, please call Charles Brown at 704-605-9695 or email cbrown@charlotteremodelingcompany.com. The Charlotte Remodeling Company can design and build these projects affordably and quickly!
